Spice on Juniper in Atlanta and meeting Chef Marvin Woods. Wow! We went to Spice last night for dinner. We had a great time and great food at Spice. http://www.spicerestaurant.com/ Why you ask was it great? The menu is new, as Marvin Woods has taken over the kitchen. You may know of him from Turner South network and his show “Home Plate” http://www.turnersouth.com/network/shows/home-plate/ *** We got to meet him! He came to the table to meet us. He is very nice. He mentioned how he wants to have a few favorites on the menu soon but for now he is mixing it up each day so this is his time to get to know what works for Spice. What worked for us last night was great food. We tried the Monk Fish (Trevor) and I had the Tuna. Both were great but the Monk Fish was terrific according to Trevor. The place takes reservation and the staff was all first class. I am going to be his advocate since I want to see him get on the Food Network! They need more variety in their line up. U know what I mean!

Is the week over yet? It has been nice but just long. I know I have not been keeping up with the BLOG so sorry… Got busy doing things with the homeowners association as I am on the board. So amazing what a task that can be for me. It does keep my mind on constant go… minus the BS and dealing with all the politics of how not to tick off people. So the 4th of July is upon us. My favorite holiday of the year! I am ready for this one as I am off on Monday so it will be a nice long weekend. I want to see the firework but not the crowd … I need a Penthouse. Or maybe I can go to see Brian and go to his roof top pool? That is an idea. Traffic is always so awful after the fireworks since humans are like a heard of cows. Tonight is Willy Wonka at the screen on the green. That will be a blast. I am going for sure. Also Sat. is a free ASO concert at the park. I love going to see them when it is outside. It is so cool… Have a good day!

Happy Friday!

Wow this week has been maniac.
I am so ready for the weekend. I am so glad I made it this week. I have been at odds in my life struggle. You know … the whole mind, body and soul connection.. Better eating habits, more exercise, and rest and having fun.
Well I am thinking of being a vegan for health reason but I get the whole reason for others on harm to animals but that is not my reasoning. Also on the exercise thing it is hard to stay in the game. I get motivated but then energy to go lack at times. Guess I just have to push myself. Half the time I know I can but I just do not go work out. Well have a good weekend!

Hump Day again…. The weeks are flying by lately. I am feeling tired today. I need more rest … Going to sleep at night later than 1:30 is not good. I just start watching stuff on the Science channel and can’t stop … last night was about matter and space and physics and all these great ideas of what the universe is made up of … When I watch and listen to this stuff I get so interested. I must start recording this stuff so I can watch it on the weekends. Also I realize I am such a news junkie and this has to end. I am not so far gone that I can’t stop it but we are so surrounded by the news now it is nuts. We have monitors here in the NOC at work on CNN and Fox News. I subscribe to the AJC but I want to end that since I am not reading the paper and they just pile up… Well hope everyone is having a good week. Take care!

It is hump day for real! I am so ready to go … Why must I work to pay the bills? The people who say if they won the lottery they would still work are not so bright. I have a life but I do not want life to be work. So we all made it … No one is missing? Guess the “Rapture” did not happen? So next is the hate laws being passed to make sure unless you are a man and a women can you be married. FEAR is such a scare tactic. You know if we are all alike then perhaps Hitler does live on in the present. Is this not apart of what his vision was for the world anyway? Well I for one love the many differences of the USA so all hate laws are something else. What is sick is anytime a judge stands against these laws then they are called an “ACTIVIST” judge. Are they just to not judge and be a freaking sleeping person on the bench? I am not sure … Is it time to go home yet?

This all happened today and here in beautiful Sandy Springs. Let me start by saying it has been a busy ass week! Sorry to everyone for not being in the BLOG mood. If you all did not know I take Marta to work by train. I live very close to the station. My boyfriend takes me to the station in the morning by car. He is such a trooper. I walk home at night since he is off after me from work. I am walking home Wednesday night and this moron (a guy might I add) stops right at my legs of which I had to dart out of the crosswalk. I stop and look right at him and scream F*&&^INK MORON …the look on his face was so funny … so he backs his mustang up a little off the crosswalk. Just glad I was not ran over but he got the message. Then yesterday I am walking to lunch and a dude whip out of the parking deck and guns it so I had to walk behind the vehicle so I slap his bumper with my hand. I am so sick of pedestrians being third class … we do not have a 3000-pound missile to helps us! WELL FOLKS USE THE STOP LINE PLEASE! Twice this week people at the crosswalk have almost hit me. Why? Well they are morons; the city needs to enforce the law, the stop line is imaginary, etc. Long story short I feel like I want to walk over the next car that does this to make a point but being dead is not for now so I will just give mean looks. For most of us in Atlanta to walk across a road is a miracle anyway. I figure if I am in the crosswalk then I have half a chance to live another day! THINK ABOUT IT!!! Have a safe and fun weekend.

I am off today! I have to work Monday but who cares since I get double time for working, get off today, I still get a three day weekend and love my job. So enough about me! I woke thinking about what this weekend means .. I know of no one in my family that is a casualty of war. http://icasualties.org/oif/ In Iraq there has been 2460 soldiers to die to date from the US and 75 deaths from Georgia. The local news has not even mentioned this this morning. All I hear is stuff on the weather, fires for apartments, etc. Maybe the news just wants us to forget the war? No one wants to talk about things that are that painful. I hope and pray that you all have a great holiday. If you have family or friends that have been a casualty of war or they are serving now in the war then I pray that you may find peace of mind. Love you all! *hugs* Have a great weekend!

CUBICLE LIFE SUXS!

Ok we all have had to deal with the cubicle life at work but this gets on my last nerve! I work with a guy who is tone-deaf. The guy likes to hum tunes mumbled in his head all day! The tone is very dull and mind numbing. I bet his wife wants to slap the crap out of him all the time! Today I had to put in ear buds to cut out the noise. This helps but even then I still hear the noise. I have worked with people who talk out loud but the humming thing is new to me. OMG! Worse yet is the constant snorting! This dude needs an ENT doctor so bad or at the least some sinus meds to stop the drainage. The grunting and huhhhhh (yuck) to clear his throat is so nasty. My cube is right at his so I face him. I have tried to say something to him on the snorting but he is clueless. Also so glad I can listen to music with ear buds! In my past life I must have ticked someone off real bad! Well just damn!

So I got up early today as 8 AM is normal for me. Feeling much better today! I am watching the news and I see all the roads are shut down for the way the guy who deleted my "out sick" message yesterday has to come to work. Amazing how fast Karma does that .. He will be late today! He takes the bus. Oh well... LOL... I wonder will the message he sends our manager get to her? I bet he will not call as he hopes to slide under the radar. He is such an ass! Well enough about that... I feel better today. So looking forward to the weekend! I am off Friday and so glad. I am going to paint the fitness center at the condos. www.piedmontheightscondo.org (I created this web site.) I painted the walls at they gym already so need to go back for the trim work. Out Sick today ....

Ok so I was sick today. Sleep deprived and upset stomach. I slept until 1 PM. I have a message on the phone when I get up from my boss. Seems that the message I left my co-worker marked urgent he never got ? I do not trust this so next time I will just have to call the boss lady when I call in and always speak to a live person and never a voice mail. I am glad she was cool when I did reach her at 1 PM. I vow to make my life simple. No more BS.

I am so glad today is over. I got up late. Got to work and had to leave after lunch sick. My weekend was good but I did to much so I paid for it today. Well hell I fgiure I went to work.
